Dear Friends and Neighbors,
The NJ Wildcats & USP Soccer Academy have been enriching the soccer experience of our children and adults through our USP Soccer Academy program (youth-Click here: USP Soccer Academy) and our NJ Wildcats W-League team (women-Click here: New Jersey Wildcats) for over a decade. With the generous support of our community, we have provided our players with a unique opportunity to play soccer at the highest level as youth players and adults. While everything is going great we do have three areas that we need help with.
First, to provide a top level youth soccer experience there are many costs i.e training, fields, travel, uniforms, etc that although the majority of our families can handle these, there are families that can not. We are starting a scholarship fund for families in need as a result of this years 1st annual fundraiser.
Second, women’s soccer in this country is not yet fully established and to run our W-League women’s team (Click here: United Soccer Leagues (USL)), the W-league is one of the top 5 women’s leagues in the world , it costs us $40,000 to $50,000 every year. Although USP Soccer, NJ Wildcats and USP Soccer Academy’s parent company, has and will continue to provide the team with most of these funds through general business practices, additional funds are desperately needed to keep the team going long term. NJ Wildcats provides a few things for your children, one a place to go and see role models out on the field playing which gives your girls inspiration, two it allows our coaches to put our top players in a pro-college level environment in their youth years so they can develop beyond their time (as an fyi - Heather O’Rielly, Tobin Heath, and Carley Lloyd ALL US National team players currently, ALL played for the NJ Wildcats as youth players), and third it gives us a direct connection to college coaches because our coaching staff deals with over 30 colleges when putting the team together every year and while we are directly dealing with these college coaches we are promoting your kids.
Lastly, we are currently raising money to buy a PDL franchise, which is the men’s version of the W-League. PDL franchises are also part of the USL.
While we are proud of our accomplishments over the past decade we need to continue to stay on the cutting edge with our USP Soccer Academy program, NJ Wildcats women’s team, and get a PDL franchise that we need for our boys USP SA teams.
