Coach Homere Breton (a/k/a “Coach ‘O””) has coached and trained all levels of men’s and women’s soccer. His career launched during his high school years as a four year Varsity Letter player of Christian Brothers Academy (Lincroft, New Jersey) and evolved into a NCAA Division I student-athlete collegiate player for Syracuse University. In his freshman year he was awarded the Most Valuable Player of the men’s soccer team’s freshman class. During his collegiate years he also earned the privilege of being on the most successful men’s soccer team of Syracuse University history with team accolades of Big East Champions and national ranking of 6th in the country. His individual accomplishments included Team Captain, Senior Bowl recipient (Tampa Bay, Florida) (ranked among the top 22 seniors in the country), and Professional draftee for American Soccer League team Houston Dynamos (Houston, Texas). He then continued semi-pro play for the New Jersey Shore Hurricanes while starting his youth soccer coaching and training career.
As a youth coach/trainer he developed players from both the men’s and women’s touch-line. His travel teams gained top state, regional and national rankings. He also gained national awards and recognition as the Coach/Trainer for the 3v3 Got Milk Championship Team “Excel.” All players that he has coached/trained have gained the opportunity of collegiate play.
Coach “O” also enjoys being the Head Coach of the Olympic Development Program. He is currently entering his 6th year as the Head Coach of the U13G State Team. ODP has allowed him the opportunity to train and develop players for international play against national teams of England, Ireland, Russia, Poland, Brazil, and Scotland. He also enjoyed the opportunity of traveling with the ODP U18G Region I Team as the Team Administrator for tournament play in Krasnodar, Russia.
Currently he is enjoying his 4th Year as a New Jersey WildCats’ coaching staff member.
