West Windsor, N.J. (Wednesday, May 12, 2009) – The New Jersey Wildcats formally announced today that they will attempt to set the state record for most people juggling a soccer ball at one time during halftime of their June 6th game at 1pm at Saint John Vianney HS while hosting the Long Island Rough Riders in thier SJV home opener.

“I am extremely excited about setting the New Jersey juggling record!” Wildcats Vice President Jim Gooley exclaimed. “Something of this magnitude has not been done in before prior to last years attempt. More importantly, I am thrilled about the excitement it is causing in the soccer community, let’s do it! We will set the New Jersey record and are striving to maybe one day set a new world record.”

At the current time, the record is 675 set by NJ Wildcats in 2009 in New Jersey for most people juggling a soccer ball at one time, so all participants would be taking part in a historical event. Everyone that wants to partake in the halftime juggling event is asked to bring their own soccer ball, and more information on the record attempt can be acquired by calling the Wildcats office at 732-963-9769 or emailing NJWildcats1996@aol.com. Tickets are $10 at the gate or $8 beforehand, and teams of 10 or more players can purchase tickets for this historical evening for $5 per player. Tailgating for the game will also begin an hour before kickoff at 12:00 p.m. Earlier this W-League season, the Pali Blues Soccer Club took a shot at the world record of 795 jugglers, but they came up just short.

We will also have 5v5 tournaments starting at 11am for any group of 5v5 that wants to join in n play on the turf.  To enter a team which is no extra charge to ur tickets email NJWildcats1996@aol.com.
