WILDCATS RALLEY WITH THREE SECOND HALF GOALS TO DOWN RANGERS!

The NJ Wildcats started the match vs the NJ Rangers strong and had many shots but were not able to find the back of the net in the first half.  Ally Mancino the Wildcats goalkeeper made two first half saves on two counter attacks by the Rangers to keep the score zero zero at halftime.  In the second half a fast break ended with the ball on Kylee Rossi’s foot out wide left and she beat one defender and served a ball into the box which hit a Ranger defender as she was running back toward her net and went in to open the scoring.  After that Jess Fuccello turned and hit a volley into the corner to beat the Rangers keeper to make the score 2-0.  After that the Wildcats were pressing the Rangers and Whitney Weinraub looking dangerous off the dribble was taking on two defenders and was tripped in the box for a penalty shot.  Weinraub buried it lower left corner to beat the Rangers keeper to cap the scoring at 3-0.  The Wildcats next match is Wednesday, July 7th at Hudson Valley Quickstrike at Newburgh HS which is set to be a great game.
